Hey lovelies! Hope you are all well, even though it’s Monday I know!
So a while back I decided to treat myself to some more high end beauty products. I usually stick to my favourites which are mainly from the high street/drug store. I’m a bit of a brow geek so I’ve played around with so many different brow products from loads of brands. One brand that seemed to keep popping up most in YouTube videos and tutorials was Anastasia Beverly Hills. Now I’m not usually someone who buys something just because it’s everywhere but I genuinely thought these would be good products for me and I am SO glad I went for it.
I picked up the Dipbrow Pomade in shade Dark Brown and Brow Wiz in shade Ebony. The Brow Wiz is a really dark brown, i tend to go darker with pencils and blend it out for a more natural effect. Ive found in the past some pencils in brown have a weird orange tone so I now tend to go a shade darker. So don’t be put off by the shade ebony it’s actually not as dark as it looks! I’m not sure what kind of unicorn fairy magic they put into the formula of the pencil but it is the most incredible product I think I’ve ever used for my brows. It glides on so smoothly and when blended it doesn’t just disappear. It has great staying power most days I don’t even have to go over them (I literally have NO brows so they love to go for a wonder sometimes lol) It’s great for creating small hair like strokes and/or filling in sparse brows. If you are looking to create a defined shape, or go for a more messy look either way the Brow Wiz will work perfectly. It’s so versatile yet so easy to use I’m just a bit blown away by it. It’s only £15.50 which at first I thought was a bit much for an eyebrow pencil (I’m used to my Rimmel £3.99 bargain), but it is so worth it. It lasts quite a while and like I mentioned before it has good staying power. I never really thought there could be much difference between brow pencils but this has changed the game forever for me.
The Dipbrow is also very dark but it’s so easy to blend and goes lighter once you’ve blended it through the brow. Even though I have pretty much no eyebrows, I still prefer a more natural look and this works perfectly for me. I found this product can dry out a little so sometimes I put a tiny bit of primer on my angled eyebrow brush and use it to make it a little smoother. I would recommend using a flat angled brush with Dipbrow, I picked myself up a cheap one from Amazon which works perfectly well with it. I also have my Real Techniques brush which also works really well with the DipBrow. A little goes a long way with this too so my one recommendation is to use sparingly. I think for £15 this is a really well priced, high quality product. Using this alongside the Brow Wiz creates the perfect brow for me.
I picked up both from BeautyBay, I got free delivery too as orders over £15 qualify for free delivery, result! Overall I am so impressed with both products but I think you can tell the Brow Wiz is my favourite. I would recommend any brow fanatic like me to try both of them at least once, they really are great high quality products well worth the price.
Hope you enjoy the post, please if you have any brow tips or recommend any other products please do share! I’ll be doing a tutorial style post very soon so keep an eye out for that guys!
Love from Georgie xxx
